I chose this project because I feel parents should know about SIDS. There are about 2,500 deaths per year in the United States and thousands more throughout the world. Some of these deaths could have been prevented if parents were more educated about SIDS. I chose the letter format because it shows a mother who has lost her child and all the hardships she goes through. A new baby is like the beginning of all things - wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities. No parent should have their wonder, hope, and dreams taken away. I hope it will influence parents to become more educated.
