I researched this topic because I was touched by the fact that some people don't receive healthcare because their religious beliefs prevent them from getting it. I was inspired, however, by the fact that many factors of religion help people to go through hard times, including personal illness or illness in the family. I wrote a short story about a little girl whose grandmother became ill but refused to see a doctor because she believed that God controls our fate. I chose this format because I wanted to illustrate the situation from the perspective of a family member.
