Ariel Furlow's research focused on the correlation between spirituality, time, and healing. Ariel proposed that spirituality can quicken the physical and emotional healing process. The images in Faith Rx represent the three aspects of her research. I chose the medium of charcoal to portray the ethereal nature of faith through the juxtaposition of light and shadow. Corresponding highlights and shadows depict the interconnectedness of the images. The similar shapes of an hourglass represent time as the changing variable.
