My work is based on the research of intern Kalee Bilinovic, which theorized that by adding ice packs all over a patient's body during cardiac arrest, the body temperature would decrease, helping everything flow better. My painting depicts a man being hit by a boulder, representing someone during a cardiac arrest. The piece is divided into two halves, red and blue, representing heat and ice. On the cool side, the man's right arm appears very strong and muscular, whereas the left arm on the hot side appears very weak. This represents the strength the ice will give the patient.
